Sharman said in an interview on Tuesday, April 9, ‘PM Modi has become the face of India and we have seen very significant economic progress. Of course, every country has its own challenges, every leader has his own challenges. I do not give credit for the success of any country to just one leader. I mean you have over 1.3 billion people and they are all working together to make India a more successful country.
Sharman, 68, is a Democratic member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives and has been working to strengthen ties between India and the US for the last 28 years. He said, ‘The relations between America and India have become very strong. I know this because I am the former chair of the US India Caucus here in the House of Representatives, which is the largest. We made it the largest of all bipartisan caucuses.
