After the war with Ukraine, more than 30 thousand Indian students are still studying medicine in Russia. In fact, after the war broke out between Russia and Ukraine in 2022, everyone was worried about the safety of Indian students studying in Russian universities. Meanwhile, a senior Russian official has said that there has been no decrease in the number of Indian students in Russia in the last two years. Oleg Osipov, director of New Delhi-based Russian House, threw light on this issue.

Indian students stay away from war-torn areas

Oleg Osipov stressed that Indian students have been kept away from conflict areas. He said that there has been no decrease in the number of Indian students. As far as the status of Indian students studying in Russian universities is concerned, Osipov says some students are studying in Crimea and some are studying medicine in Sevastopol and western parts of Russia.
