Actually, Eid is being celebrated in America on 10th April this year, whereas South Asian countries including India and Pakistan will celebrate Eid on 11th April. In Islam, the month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the year, followed by the tenth month called Shawwal. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast for 29 or 30 days until the Eid moon is visible. During the fast, fasting Muslims do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset.

This year a fast was observed for 30 days

The fast is completed on the day the moon rises, this moon is called the moon of Eid. The festival of Eid is celebrated by seeing the moon at night and then the festival of Eid is celebrated the next day i.e. on the first day of the month of Shawwal. This time 30 days fast was also observed in Saudi Arabia. Because the moon was not visible on 8th April. The festival of Eid is being celebrated today in Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia.
