“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm greetings to the President of the Maldives, Dr Mohammed Moizzu, the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives,” the Indian High Commission said in a post on ‘X’. He also highlighted the cultural and cultural ties shared between India and Maldives since 1950. Moizzu, known as a pro-China leader, had said after assuming the post of President in November last year that he was ready to pull out Indian troops.
