This is the second consecutive reaction from China after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments on the border dispute with China. Earlier, China had said that strong and stable relations are in the interest of both the countries. Now for the second time on Friday, in a comment from China, it has been said that India and China have made ‘huge positive progress’ in resolving the ongoing deadlock on the border.

“On the border dispute, I would like to say that India and China have maintained close contacts through diplomatic and military channels and made considerable positive progress in this regard,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at his daily press briefing. ” In an interview given to an American magazine, PM Modi said that relations with China are important for India and the border dispute should be resolved immediately.

“Good relations between China and India are in the interest of both countries”

In another reaction from China on PM Modi’s remarks, the Chinese spokesperson said, ‘We also believe that good relations between China and India are in the interest of both the countries. China hopes that India will work together with China in a common direction, overcome all differences and take bilateral relations forward on a stable path.

Earlier on Thursday, reacting to PM Modi’s remarks, Ning said, ‘Strong and stable relations are in the interest of both India and China and will help in peace and development of the region and the rest of the world.’ A Chinese spokesperson said the border issue alone does not define relations between India and China. But, it should have proper representation and proper solution in bilateral relations.

What did PM Modi say in the interview?

In an interview given to an American magazine, PM Modi made an important comment on the India-China border dispute. He said, ‘I believe that we need to urgently resolve the long-standing situation on our borders so that problems can be avoided in our bilateral discussions. Stable and peaceful relations between India and China are important not only for our two countries but for the entire region.
