Elephant is considered to be the most intelligent animal among the wild animals of the forest. But, only until it is disturbed. That is why some rules have been made for tourists before going to the forest. If you go on a jungle safari, follow these rules strictly, otherwise the same thing will happen to you as happened to the tourists in Zambia’s Kafue National Park. Tourists were doing jungle safari in the park. He was so excited to see the animals that he started shouting and teasing them. But what happened later was beyond imagination. This tragic incident was captured on camera by a tourist which is going viral on social media.
The viral video is from Kafue National Park in the African country Zambia. A group of tourists stayed at Lufupa River Camp. In the morning the group decided to go on a jungle safari. Everyone sat in the safari van and started leaving. After some distance the road closed. Later the guide started taking the tourists to another route. This path was not unknown to him, but it was quite dangerous. The tourists saw many animals, which made them very excited. Seeing this scene they started shouting and hearing this noise a huge elephant came running towards them.
Tourists’ lives were in danger
Seeing Gajraj coming towards them, the tourists sitting in the safari van came to life. In the video, a woman can be heard shouting ‘Oh my God’, ‘Oh my God’. ‘Oh, it’s coming fast,’ says one tourist. As the elephant starts coming towards them crossing the trees and bushes, the guide thinks that if he stops the van the elephant will not attack. Thinking so, the guide van stops him. But later something happens which the guide had never imagined. As soon as the van stops, the elephant comes very close and people start shouting. A safari van also overturned in the elephant attack.
An 80 year old woman died in an elephant attack
Gajraj’s attack was so dangerous that an 80-year-old American tourist woman died. He was accompanied by five other tourists, one of whom was seriously injured. Four others suffered minor injuries. The tourist injured in the elephant attack was sent to the hospital for treatment. The CEO of the group carrying the tourists has apologized for the incident. He said that all our guides are well trained and experienced, but unfortunately the area was very dangerous and the guide’s path was blocked. Because of this he could not escape the attack. We express our deepest condolences to the deceased tourist. The deceased will be brought back to America. Importantly, in a similar incident 8 years ago, a 30-year-old American woman died while recording a lion in the Gauteng Safari Park in South Africa.
