An Indian-origin man has been accused of robbery at the London Post Office. He is accused of carrying out the entire massacre with the help of a fake gun.

Fake gun used for robbery

Scotland Yard said Rajvinder, an Indian-origin man, threatened staff at a post office in Hounslow, west London, with a fake gun and then carried out the robbery. After this he was arrested from his home on 1 April. The Metropolitan Police said its Flying Squad officers identified the suspect with the help of detectives.

The incident took place on April 1st

At around 6 pm on 1 April, Rajvinder went to the post office in Brabazon Road, Hounslow. Police said he threatened two staff members with a gun before committing the robbery. Police swung into action immediately after the robbery and detectives identified the suspect after an extensive investigation. After this the police planned to arrest Rajvinder.

The arrest was made from the man’s home

The man was arrested from his home on April 4. The statement said Rajvinder was produced before Uxbridge Magistrates Court on Saturday 6 April. He is accused of committing robbery with the help of a fake gun. Rajvinder is currently in police custody and will appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 6 May.
